I am looking for a week one rental in 2016.

Lots of adds with 01 2015, 52 2015

Does the 01 mean first week or floating week?

Thanks

John

2016 probably isn't being advertised yet....01 refers to week 1 and 52 is week 52:) those are the weeks that this person owns or has booked. Weeks owners can book 12 months in advance so 2016 is barely off the ground at the moment:) Stay tuned!

The tug marketplace won't let you list multiple float periods. 1-52 that you saw generally means that the week can float to any week 1-52. Sometimes it may indicate that the week floats 1-17 and then 50-52 or some other combo of weeks. If you look at the ad you may see it is more specific in the details section. Even if you are looking for 2016 it doesn't hurt to inquire from a 2015 ad to see if the week you want would be one they may possibly get in 2016 and if so what the general cost may be.

while it is true you cant list multiple ranges of floats in the marketplace, we do always suggest posting a separate ad for the 2nd range to cover all your bases!

tis one of the reasons we provide all those free ads for members =)

on a side note, we are also looking forward to implementing a date range feature for those of you with non standard checkin dates, or partial weeks. coming soon!

Week 01 in 2015 has already passed, having been January 03-10, 2015 (assuming a "Saturday to Saturday" resort week).

Week 52 in 2015 will be December 26, 2015 - January 02, 2016 (again assuming a "Saturday to Saturday" resort week).

If the ads to which you refer indicate these two specific weeks 52 and 01 as being individually offered weeks, it seems likely and reasonable that the advertiser owns / has booked these two particular, specific weeks already. If the ad instead states "weeks 1 to 52", that might very well instead suggest a "floating" week ownership, with no specific week(s) yet reserved at all, perhaps seeking "prospective tenant" input before making any specific reservation(s).
I dunno --- it's not clear where you saw these particular ads posted in the first place. It could also be a typo error on the year.
