I am going to rent one of my weeks to a renter. I asked him to sign an agreement with me before I request the payment (by paypal invoice) He just wants to pay the pp invoice which I have not sent yet. I insisted him signing the agreement first. I do not know why he is holding that not to sign it but wants to pay first?

I don't think it really makes any difference. If he won't sign your contract, or alters it, and you can't come to agreement, you just refund his money.

Here's a suggestion: Instead of sending him a separate agreement, just summarize the terms on your Paypal Invoice with the statement: "By paying this invoice you are agreeing to the terms above."

If he is an experienced renter or a Rental Agent he may not be concerned about having an agreement. I don't use a separate agreement. I email the renter my terms, and ask for them to agree by email, and then I put my terms on my Paypal Invoice as stated above.

Thank you very much for the quick reply!
I have another concern: my renting ts week is a worldmark, wm says if anything wrong with the ts you rented out, it is the owner responsibilities to pay for the damages. wm allows renting but have this rules. (Recently they asks renters for $100 credit card hold for the damages.)

Damages are very rare in timeshare rentals, so it's a calculated risk. We hardly every hear about it on TUG, so I don't think it happens very often.

The $100 credit hold doesn't mean they will ONLY charge them $100 - if it's more than $100, they will charge them more. The $100 credit card hold is just to be sure it's an active credit card with credit available.

However, to be cautious, I don't rent to anyone under 25.

Is the renter a Rental Agent? Click on my blue user name and send me a private message, if you want to.

Paypal allows you to attach a file to the invoice you issue. I attach my rental terms in PDF format with the note that payment of invoice indicates acceptance to attached rental terms.

Thank you very much for your help!! These are valuable information you provided. Thanks!! I like to report that the renter signed the agreement yesterday and we can proceed now. Finally relaxed for me.
