Has anyone stayed here. I just used an ac to get May 19-26. How does it compare to the Marriott's. We have never been to Lake Tahoe, we were actually wanting to go back to Telluride this year, but this came up and I thought it might be fun to check it out. Any information would be appreciated. I couldn't find any reviews.

This is a gorgeous newer resort! It's a toss-up as to whether it or the Tahoe Marriott is nicer. There are several reviews for it in the TUG reviews in the Nevada section. Be aware that May can still be very cold in Tahoe, you could even get snow. We got snowed on twice last year on Memorial Day weekend! However, I wouldn't count on the skiing being good in May. It will be icy in the morning and mushy in the afternoon, most likely.

The only possible down-side is that the Hyatt isn't in South Lake Tahoe where all the action is, but many people prefer the quieter Incline Village area. The TS is adjacent to the Hyatt Hotel & Casino with restaurants and a casino and there are a few smaller casinos a short drive away in the Cal-Neva area of Crystal Bay.

I have lots of ideas of things to do in Tahoe here - http://www.freewebs.com/denisetravels/tahoetraveltips.htm

Thanks for the info. I was looking in the California section for reviews. It looks nice. Will most restaurants, etc. be open?

This is a great resort. The hyatt hotel is very nice, and it has a very nice restaurnt lounge right on the lake, called Lone eagle grill. I much prefer incine as opposed to South Lake it is prettier and less congested. If you want more entertainement both Reno ans south lake are about 40 minutes away. The resort restaurants will be open.

Yes, Tahoe is a popular resort area year-round. Everything should be open except for summer type attractions which might be snowed in or just closed for the season. For example, during the shoulder seasons, the Heavenly Gondola is only open holidays and weekends.
