If I rescue my 2011 points into 2012 can they be deposited into RCI in 2012??

It looks like I am going to have more points left then I had originally planned on.

I know I can put them into RCI this year & they will be good for 2 years.

Thanks,

JM

No. Rescued points may only be used for HGVC & RCI reservations in the year to which they were moved.

What I would do:
(1) Rescue the points and plan to use them in 2012; and
(2) By 12/31 *this year*, bank my 2012 point-alotment by depositing them to HGVC for 2013.

If you deposit your 2012 points to your 2013 HGVC account, they can be borrowed back (as needed for 2012) or left alone and then in *2013* deposited to RCI, giving them a potential useful life from 2012 & 2013 as HGVC points and 2014 & 2015 as RCI points!

Talent I thought that would be the answer. Thanks

Another question about RCI:

The booking fee for 3 nights is $79.00 does that have to be 3 nights at the same resort or can it be 3 different places?

Thanks,

JM

I can't say from personal experience, but I would think that each resort booked would be considered a separate reservation, and thus each incurs a separate reservation fee.

IOW, I doubt that you could get them to agree to aggregate your reservations for one combined fee... but that's just me talking and I tend to be assume that "they" wouldn't pass up a chance to gouge.
