I am currently an owner at Marriott Ocean Point, but am now considering joing HCC. I have 4 school age children (10, 9, 6, 6) so we are somewhat limited on dates we can travel during the school year. A couple of questions.

1. If you book out in advance, can you expect to get your desired resort. We like to ski, so we would be interested in Matin Luther King day and Presidents day

2. What are the formal "holiday" periods.?

3. Are the units able to accommodate 6?

4. I understand that Long Term and Holiday reservations can be booked up to 1 year in advance. How far in advance can you book your other days.

Thanks for your help

There are about 15 HCC members here and you will get a ton of opinions if you need them.

They just raised prices Dec 1 and you may be able to get the old prices if you call Heath ASAP. I am not going to promise anything.

HCC is a great destination club if you join at the "proper: level of membership. If you need holiday weeks, you might have to pay more or join at a higher level.

The Holidays are:
• New Year’s Day
• President’s Day
• Four weeks of Spring Break, to be determined by the Club annually; for 2008 the weeks are the weeks starting March 14, March 21, March 28, and April 4
• The 4th of July
• Thanksgiving
• Christmas

There are many units that can accommodate 6, please go to their web site and browse the destinations for room sizes.

With any timeshare or Destination Club, the earlier you book your desired week, the more success you will have in getting the week you want.

Answer to #4: Depends on your plan, but basically there are reservation opportunities at 365, 180, 120 , 90, and 7 days/last minute reservations. Specifically, 365 day LTRs for holidays require a Private membership or 180 days for holidays at the Affiliate level. Either way you get one per membership year based on your anniversary from joining.

With the recent rule changes you can book anything at 120 days whether or not it is a holiday and your membership level does not matter.
