We are giving away our Week 7 at Grand Pacific Palisades. Deposit credit is available for travel in 2015. Your usage starts in February 2017. We can split the cost of the transfer fee which is normally between $300-500. This is a 1 bedroom unit in a beautiful resort next to Legoland. Location is Carlsbad, CA just north of San Diego.

This is a RCI Gold Crown Resort. It is a very nice facility especially for families. Check out how much it cost to reserve the place for one night from their website. It's unfortunately I bought a timeshare right next to where I live so I have no use for it.

I stayed on the top floor, in the end unit shown in the picture above. Very nice resort - really enjoyed it!

I was wondering does this have day use associated with it?

You mean, can you come anytime to use the facility like the gym, swimming pool, kids pool during the day? Yes, as an owner, you can use the facility anytime.

I go to this resort to use their facilities every time I have to work in our Carlsbad office. It is one of my favor resorts in SD, just next to legoland.

If I did not live so close to the resort I would be coming here every year for vacation. On top of being next to Legoland, the drive to Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Disneyland is all less than an hour away. The beach is just a few minutes drive from the resort. And this is free. I wish I had gotten the resort for free back then instead of buying the week after attending the sales presentation.

Do you know how difficult it is to trade week? I really can't use week 7 since my kids are in school but spring break and winter break and maybe even summer vacation would work great...

I think you would have to use RCI or GPX (Grand Pacific Exchange) to switch to a different week. I have not called myself but if you are interested, you can talk to owner's services to get an answer to your question. Ask if you can permanently change your ownership week when transferring title.

can this be added to the Hilton Vacation Club?

Grand Pacific Palisades is listed as part of Hilton Grand Vacations (HGV).

That isn't an accurate answer. I believe toontoy was asking if he could join HGVC and covert the GPP to HGVC points. The answer is no. Resales have to already be converted to HGVC to have that. However, the resale department at GPR is able to sell some with the HGVC conversion. They will cost much more than regular resales, but still quite a bit less than a developer purchase.

For those asking about whether they can book the resort during summer instead of week 7, I think you have to use Grand Pacific Exchange (GPX) or RCI to swap weeks. GPX membership is free with the ownership. Exchange fee is $99 through GPX. There is a full listing of Grand Pacific resorts around the world that can be used to exchange listed in the owner section of the website.

Still looking to give away the week for Grand Pacific Palisades. There is one week on deposit that can be exchanged through RCI. The week for 2018 is available for use or deposit. Maintenance fee has been paid for this year.

Week 7 at Grand Pacific Palisades in Carlsbad near San Diego is still available. New owner will be responsible for all transfer and title fees. Please email me at ehocean@gmail.com if you would like to take ownership.
