Contacted by phone to attend an outreach program (I think but not sure it was ADRA) with presentations from II and RCI about their response to negative audit results re false resort unavailability/unjustified fee increases, etc. Holding meetings at a restaurant (!?) over 3-day period. Anyone know if this is for real? I nave not heard back from ADRA.

Resorts Owned
WKORV, WKV, 2-SDO, 4-Kauai Beach Villas, Island Park Village (Yellowstone), Hyatt High Sierra, Dolphin's Cove (Anaheim)
This is a scam… They are either going to pitch you with a "get out of your timeshare scheme," or try to sell you something.

99% of the people who call you with timeshare offers are simply scammers - they are not your friends.

As a minor correction, it's ARDA not ADRA. That might be a lame attempt to gain your trust. Secondly, when you receive an unsolicited phone call from someone you do not know regarding your TS, it is usually a scam or, at best, a shady deal.

The reason why they want you to meet at a restaurant in person is so they csn put you through the wringers trying to sell you some expensive travel package. I wouldn't bite on this one.

This is a scam trying to sell you something. Run as fast as you can away from this group.

Utter nonsense...

ARDA (...let's remember for starters that the "RD" in ARDA stands for "Resort Development"), does not actually conduct consumer "outreach programs".
Neither does II or RCI conduct anything even remotely resembling the above described "presentations" --- let alone do so together. Enough said; the call was bogus.

I have no idea what this gig might be. If I was a gambler (...I'm not), I'd be inclined to bet that it's a PCC operation of some sort, luring folks in to make doom and gloom "presentations" about the eternal hardship and misery of timeshare ownership, offering to "help owners out" ("out" of a few thousand dollars, I'm guessing).

ARDA-ROC is supposedly the "owners representation" section of arda...but I highly doubt the cold call owners to solicit a meeting at a local restaurant.

this reeks of an upfront fee scheme.
