My S.O. And I both own a Marriott Shadow Rigde 2 bed lock out. We used his studio to book a studio at Aruba Surf Club got E plus in hopes of grabbing a 1 bed.

I found what we wanted searching with my studio but can't see it with his e plus. Called II they say his 2015 week won't pull it but my 2016 would. And they would not do it for us. Grr

The rep suggested I book it with my week and we have till 7/2017 to use the e plus on his. But his week is already not pulling a 1 bed at the same time so would this even be a good idea?

Obviously we would prefer a 1 bed especially since we already have a 1 bed the following week and then would prefer not to move. But we don't want to lose a week because it won't pull anything.

EPlus on the other unit should pull larger units in "lesser" resorts.

Lesser resort than the Surf Club or Shadow Ridge?

My SO reminded me they offered a 1 bed at the Ocean Club at the original trade but we wanted Surf Club because of the lazy river so we took the studio and e plus.

So far that's not working out so good. Called another rep got the same answer asked to speak to a supervisor was placed on hold then told 1 wasn't available.

The problem here is the trade power of the underlying studio on your ePlus. Studio units have very poor trading power. Though it is odd that your studio can see it and his can't. What are the reservation dates on each of the studio units and how fare in advance of checkin were they deposited in to II?

Also, it appears that II has tweaked the trading power of studios recently (past couple of months). That may be why you originally could pull the 1 bedroom at Ocean Club but now it won't see the larger unit at Surf Club. Also, there must be some trading power issues coming into play here between the two studio units.

Eplus is a crapshoot. It requires lots of searching. You may have to wait until closer to check in to trade up with the studio.

Guess it is a trade power thing. My studio was a 2016 thanksgiving week his is a 2015 week before thanksgiving. Dang it!

So :ignore: frustrating to see the week and not be able to get it without risking the loss of his week.

Definitely a trade power issue here. I hope that something works out for you though.
