Can anybody tell me what the points conversion is from a HGVC managed resort to a HGVC developed resort? I know it will be based on unit size. Would I be able to look at the room size and just make a comparison? i.e. If you have a 1 bed in High week at a managed resort could I just go the HGVCs chart find the 1 bed points number and say the managed resort is worth the same?

Thanks

Points are Points

All points are stricly based on season and unit type. Hilton has 3 different room types that it may offer in a given category. Not all properties offer all 3 types. Designation is Standard, plus and premium. Plus and premium typically have enhanced units or enhanced views. In addition to this points vary based on the season. As of this moment points are not resort specific. Thus, a 1 bedroom standard view in Vegas is the same as a 1 bedroom standard view in Hawaii. Current HGVC point chart is shown below:

UNIT SIZE PLATINUM GOLD SILVER BRONZE
STUDIO 2200 1600 1100 800
STUDIO PLUS 3500 2500 1700 1200
1 BEDROOM 4800 3400 2400 1700
1 BEDROOM PLUS 6200 4200 3000 2200
1 BEDROOM PREMIER 8400 5800 4100 3000
2 BEDROOM 7000 5000 3500 2500
2 BEDROOM PLUS 8400 5800 4100 3000
2 BEDROOM PREMIER 9600 7000 4800 3400
3 BEDROOM 8400 5800 4100 3000
3 BEDRROM 9600 7000 4800 3400

Matt gave you the point charts. But you have to know exactly which of the 4 seasons your week at the managed resort is in. 'High season' isn't good enough. If you have the HGVC member guide, it lists each resort and indicates which weeks are which seasons. If you don't have a guide and want to post your resort and week, someone here will look it up for you.

Late1night,

It does not matter where you get your points. As the saying goes points are points. As long as you have enough points to get the size unit and week you need it does not matter where your points come from. If you want to know more about Hiltons talk to Seth Nocks at www.sellingtimeshares.com. Hope that helps.

I dont know if this was just a sales pitch ,but I did a Sales tour in NYC Hilton and I state to the sales rep.that I buy Resale He told me that if I want to get into Hilton NY I would have to buy Hilton NY resale as other HGVC could not regularly trade into Hilton NY,If thats so then Hilton Points are Regulated by Resort ,Never bought
would someone who owns Hilton NY weigh in as I would like to buy HGVC in FL.and use the points it book in NYC

The Hilton Club in NYC is technically not part of HGVC. It's it's own thing.
So, no, you can't trade into it using other HGVC points.
But, HGVC has announced that they will be building a new HGVC resort in Manhattan.

If you want to find out how many points your affiliate HGVC unit is worth, go to HGVC.com and click on resort collection then the resort you own. See what HGVC season your week is in, then use the table below and match your size and season to the chart.

UNIT SIZE PLATINUM GOLD SILVER BRONZE
STUDIO 2200 1600 1100 800
STUDIO PLUS 3500 2500 1700 1200
1 BEDROOM 4800 3400 2400 1700
1 BEDROOM PLUS 6200 4200 3000 2200
1 BEDROOM PREMIER 8400 5800 4100 3000
2 BEDROOM 7000 5000 3500 2500
2 BEDROOM PLUS 8400 5800 4100 3000
2 BEDROOM PREMIER 9600 7000 4800 3400
3 BEDROOM 8400 5800 4100 3000
3 BEDRROM 9600 7000 4800 3400

Hope that helps

Thanks for all the information.

I have been shopping around for about 4 months. Went to a developer sales pitch, have been watching ebay and other resale venues. It appears to me a managed resort with the size unit I would want seems to be the least expensive avenue for points in Hiltons system. As long as the units size equals the same points for same size in developed properties.

Again thanks for all the good info.
