I recently won an ebay auction on an HGVC - Seaworld, the deed has been recorded at the county - now what?

Make sure that the seller (and you) use an escrow company to facilitate the closure. The escrow company will order an estoppel, deed search, etc. Your deposit will also be protected. Good luck!

Once your deed is recorded, you can call HGVC and get your contract number. With that, you can open your web account and start making your reservation. Of course, you can just call and make your reservation via phone but what fun is that!

"workshy" is a bit late to the party, and "wmmm..." may be a bit early.
---------------------
The next step is for HGVC to be sent (if they haven't been)...
-- a certified copy of the recorded deed; and
-- a copy of their waiver of ROFR.
Its when HGVC has those things that you can call to get your contract #.

About 10 days - 2 weeks later, you will get a welcome kit, including membership cards.
If not an upper-tier HHonors member, you will also get a welcome kit from HHonors.
-------------------------
BTW... Converting HGVC points to HHonors points is a fools-errand, but you may want
to augment your HHonors account with HHonors-affinity cards from American Express
and CitiBank-Visa, which will help stack up those points.
