I have two weeks back to back at Harbour Point this summer. The first week is my week and the second is a week I traded for. Harbour Point is a fixed week / fixed unit resort. So the resort will have me in my unit for the first week. I would like to stay in the same unit for both weeks if possible. How long before check-in should I contact the resort and what is the best method of contact?

Thanks, Ray

I would call the front desk now and make the request. There should be no problem fulfilling the request unless the actual owner of the second week wants to occupy that unit.

Based on you responses I called the resort. Unfortunately for me the people who own the week after mine will be occupying their week, so I will not be able to stay two weeks in the room I own. The resort will try to find a room like the one I own that is available for two weeks in a row. They promised me a call back before check-in either way to let me know if it works out.

Maybe I will get a chance to meet the owners of the week after me. Who knows maybe some day I will want to buy their week or they may want to buy mine.

I will let you know.

Can't hurt to network. You never know when an owner will want to sell to a fellow owner at a discount :D Keep us posted

Or swap weeks .. You get EVEN years for both AND they get odd years ... each reimburses the MFs for the year they use both.

WOULD be a win-win deal .. no moving.

Well as of today I had not heard back, so I decided to give another call.

Good news is that they did have a record that I had called before, bad news is that they did not have a record that I had said I was willing to move to a different unit than my ownership unit if it meant that I could stay in the same unit for the two weeks. I was told they will look into this request today and see what they can do.
