Issues with Booking 2017 Reservations Online

The problem you experienced today is the same with 13 months out also. The system doesn't work.

and a follow up question....is the online booking restricted to the same phone booking time window 9:00 am to whatever time?

When booking Weeks, yes, the same 9AM Eastern opening time applies to both the phone and online queues.

When booking DC Points, this is in the FAQ:
*Note as with the MVCI Weeks system, available DC Points inventory is officially released at 9:00AM Eastern Standard Time on the Release Day. However, several TUGgers have reported that when using the owners.marriottvacationclub.com DC Points online booking tool, they have occasionally seen and been able to book intervals earlier, shortly after midnight on the Release Day. It is recommended that you check for the possibility.

thank you, I was able to see the appropriate calendar after 9:00.
I've gotten any different kind of error message, except one that says 'the inventory will be available after 9:00. '

GRRRRR, this is maddening. Today is supposed to be the 13-months Inventory Release Date for DC Points stays beginning Fri 7/21/17 and Sat 7/22/17. Last night shortly after midnight the Fri block on the calendar became clickable (although it didn't return available inventory) and STILL today the Sat block isn't clickable. So at 9AM on the dot I wasted five minutes trying to figure out what I was doing wrong online and then another fifteen on telephone hold only to be told that there's no availability. And the rep says no one else has mentioned website issues. :rolleyes:

I know - "keep checking." But I needed to vent some frustration and this is a good place to do it. :mad::doh:

{ETA} After sending an email this morning I've just gotten a phone call from MVW Exec Offices asking for more details. The associate was able to replicate what's happening (incorrectly) in my account and will be following up with the exec web team. I'll update if I hear anything further ...

As maddening as these glitches are and as unreasonable it is that they're continuing for this long a time, I'm still encouraged that MVW is responding as they said they would. So please, if you're having issues too, use the contact information in the first post of this thread to let them know. And good luck!

Four weeks after my initial e-mail contact, I've just received a survey asking for feedback regarding my experience. :rolleyes: I completed the survey and it wasn't good. :annoyed: Other than that, I've had no reply to my concerns.:annoyed::annoyed:

Last night at midnight the calendar block for Sat 7/22/17 opened on the "Use My Points" portal. So it appears that the calendar on the website is updating day-by-day instead of in multi-day increments as it should.

I got another call today from the associate confirming that they followed up today, they're seeing the same thing on their end and the web team has placed a priority on this issue. He advised that the system the phone reps are using is working correctly so if you know the date is supposed to be open (according to the Inventory Release Calculator) and it's showing as blacked out, call in and ask a rep to search/book availability.

To the MVCI folks who are watching this thread:

I just received a "Friendshare" e-mail update. Why would I refer a friend (that I care about) if you don't respond to current owners? :confused:

Would still appreciate some feedback on my previous concerns.

Sue, that's the exact same experience I reported to support weeks ago... They never got back after I fed them click by click screenshots of the release problems. It's clear that either they just don't care or are incapable of correcting this serious deficiency. If You had one job to do.... I'd think reservations would be up on the list. Evidently its sending marketing emails instead.

I'm convinced now that it is on purpose and they want to do the reservations over the phone when the new weeks are released. What else could explain it? It is literally impossible to log in at 9:00 and reserve the nights you want.....because the system is a day behind!

Interval International's site is far better and it used to be one of the worst I've ever encountered.
