I just noticed this message when looking for Open Season availability at Valdoro:
The swimming pool accessible to owners and guests of Valdoro Mountain Lodge will be closed for remodeling from July 13, 2009, until approximately December 18, 2009. The resort’s owners association voted to make significant enhancements to the pool for the future enjoyment of all Valdoro owners and guests.
Does anyone know the details on what they are doing? It sounds promising!

Hi, we have recently purchased a house, we were contemplating having a pool, only to discover that the previous owners had a Swimming Pool but have filled it in, we know that is filled with sand, but we are not sure whether the pool is badly damaged, a friend of mine said that usually they are punctured and left to drain then filled, if we want to put a pool in do we need to remove this one or can it be repaired in some way, is this the only way that you can empty them. I don't have any contact address for the previous owners or I would ask them. Any help?

I am not a pool expert, but believe you will need to have the old pool and plumbing completely removed and replaced. Everything will have deteriorate under ground.
