Checked into Lagoon Tower yesterday afternoon, 2 bedroom oceanfront, room 1467. I had called a couple week ago and requested a high floor. maybe that helped, not a super high floor, but the view is still great so we are very happy.

It our first time staying at HHV, very happy with our unit. this is very spacious for the two of us, a few minor maintenance issues, but in general great unit.

We are here for five nights, then off to Kings Land for another 5 nights...

Like what?
The only real issue is valve for the shower in the master bath. It feels stripped, and twists all the way arround making it hard to conto the water. I plan to report it but haven't had a chance yet.

I forgot to mention...
On Friday night, sail boats and evening cruises come around before sunset.
It's a very nice view from the oceanfront balcony.

Our favorite two places, we are booked for next May.

If you like to snorkel, when you get to Kings Land try Kikua Point at 4 Seasons Hualalai, its just south of Waikoloa on the way to Kona.

A sunset walk on the beach at a-bay will usually result in turtle sightings.

I called Guest Services to report the problem with the shower valve this morning, and pleased to see it had been fixed by the time we got back after lunch.

Thanks for the tip on the beach.. We love to snorkel.. last year we didn't get much snorkeling in, as my son's fiance didn't like fish, or swimming in the ocean.. ..much easier this year as its just my wife and i...

We had a nice time on Oahu, and got to do some different activities this trips. Visited Doris Duke's estate Shangri La, , Heart of the Missouri at Pearl Harbor, etc. But are really enjoying the Big Island and King's Land. All in all, both my wife and i like the slower pace of the Big Island over the hustle and bustle of Waikiki..

Might want to try marriott koolina. You will like the relaxed feel and nice beaches there. Totally different from waikiki.

Having been to both Kings' Land and Ko Olina, I too think you will enjoy Ko Olina. Not quite as laid back as Kings' Land, but not as busy as Waikiki either.

We had a great time at Kings Land, really enjoyed the resort.. Had a one bedroom Premier in Building 11. Nice view of the golf course.. The only downside was we got an ADA room without a shower, but it did have a big Jacuzzi tub.. Not really sure why the ADA room has a tub instead of a shower, as the few disabled people i know, prefer a shower with a seat instead of climbing into a Jacuzzi..

They did offer to move us on 2nd day of our stay, but by then my wife didn't want to pack up and change rooms..
