Is there a way to give a fully paid off timeshare back to the resort legally?

From the postings here it would appear some resorts will let you 'return' your timeshare. It never hurts to ask.

You could always try to list it in the marketplace here, or sell it on eBay.

Sure- if they'll take it. There's no way to force them, though. Some HOA's have found that taking deedbacks and then reselling or renting them gets revenue from otherwise idle assets. One of mine was doing that, but had to quit when all they were left with was 'dog' weeks.
