I am hoping to book an II Getaway for late March 2016 at one of the Sheraton Vistanas. I noticed that none of the Sheratons (in any location) have any Getaways posted beyond December 2015. Does anyone have any idea when I can expect Sheraton Vistana Getaways to be available for March 2016?

Since Starwood implemented the new FlexOption program at this resort, deposits/Getaways have been few and far between. There has been speculation that Starwood is stock piling inventory for the flex program, so I would not count on there being any Getaways.

No hotel will leave beds empty.
Getaways have likely decreased as.
1. More are taking vacations.
2. SO flexibility has increased.
3. Vacant space has gone into the starwood hotel booking system.

No idea, there's not a single exchange available in II for all Starwood resorts beyond mid-January (except for 1 unit in mid-December @ Orlando).

RCI on the other hand, has both exchanges and extra vacations available for SDO, SBP and Vistana Orlando for all of 2016 (or what's left of the deposits at this point).

Thanks for the info! I wasn't aware of any of that. Perhaps I'll have to rent the weeks from an owner.

Darn.
I've been busy with other things and away from the boards for a while. I just picked up a second fixed week Starwood lockoff for trading. Hope that doesn't turn out to be a mistake.

It might be. I was looking to buy a Starwood week a while back for trading purposes. Even made and had an offer accepted but it never panned out. Boy am I sure glad it didn't.

Yeah - for two years now, I am having trouble getting anything Sheraton in II. So much for preference. Thinking of dumping my units

What lock-off did you buy?
