Most of them were looking to sell their timeshares for between $10K and $30K and they were either based in Orlando or East Coast beachfronts that were before Week 24 and or after Week 34. Or they were in points that sell for $1 on Ebay.

Unfortunately most people in that position don't seem to want to accept the fact their timeshares (or points) are only worth maybe a $1, or maybe a few hundred dollars, or maybe even a few thousand dollars...but not ten's of thousands of dollars.

Unfortunately, they are setting themselves up to be victims of the upfront fee resale scam. Those scammers like people who are absolutely delusional about the resale (and rental) value of timeshares.

Hopefully your friends will come to their senses before the scammers get to them. :(
