Well, here are my personal favs.

1. Outstanding !!!! Red Cottage Restaurant in Dennis. http://www.redcottagerestaurant.com/1007/Page.aspx To see the menu, click on the link under "Spring Hours......"

Great for lunch, too. Dinner in July & August as well.

Cash only.

2. Keltic Kitchen in Yarmouth. Rte. 28. http://www.keltickitchen.com/

Not open for dinner (as far as I know). Always good, packed on Sundays. They even serve great & strong Irish tea !

3. Grumpy's on 6A East Dennis http://www.grumpyscapecod.com/

Good, but always packed and a little noisy, but consistently decent. Nothing fancy, but lots of good standard choices and some unusual ones (meatloaf Benedict ?).

4. Pain D'Avignon Hyannis (at the rotary off of the airport). http://www.paindavignon.com/restaurant/

Great French pastries. Try the bread pudding, pain du chocolat.

Wonderful dinners. I have never had a sit-down breakfast there, but they looked good.

5. Hangar-B ( Used to be a favorite, but please read comments). http://www.hangarbcapecod.com/

We went a few weeks ago and although our breakfast was good, it was pricey. It's a funky/eclectic place looking over the little Chatham airport. Service is friendly, but uneven. Also, expensive. We had a nice breakfast, but for two it came to $43 (our entrée, juice and coffee) not including tip.

6. Chatham. Wild Goose. Not sure if they're serving breakfast yet, but lunch & dinner are good

Thanks - - I've been to Keltic Kitchen so I'm looking forward to Red Cottage.

[Yelp is a handy resource and if you have Yelp on your phone it's easy to set a bookmark for when you're next in the area.]

I like Yelp, but since I still have my "vintage" Blackberry Torch (yes, the Smithsonian has asked me for it), I still do it the hard way.

There are several more and I don't mean to ignore the outer Cape or the upper Cape (I'm in the lower Cape area of Harwich, so this is my tack). Will get more out.

Did you like Keltic Kitchen ?

My vote is for the Red Cottage, then Grumpy's.

Preach it, brother !

We ate this morning at the Red Cottage (we have our own little cottage in Harwich/Red River Beach). Love this place, but won't go on weekends unless it's 7 am. At least you have a fighting chance of getting in at Grumpy's on Sunday.

Oh, Fleming's doughnuts is now under new management as the owner died. Not the same.

Fried clams

I never ate breakfast out on Cape Cod. I was afraid I would order fried clams and spoil my lunch.

We enjoy Larry's P.X. in Chatham for breakfast. To avoid the crowds get there early.

We loved the corned beef hash at Persy's. As a matter of fact we went there twice because it was so good!

For dinner we liked Oysters Too. Very quaint and they had a lot of choices and specials!
