TSA in FLL today

Boy were they very slow today. Not letting people jump the line if their plane was already boarding. Normally as a person in the line with two kids I am okay with not letting people jump the line. But when it takes 35 minutes to get through security with a bunch of tsa workers just standing around I felt bad for them.

I voiced my opinion to the gate staff but my airline only departs from Terminal D 4 times a week so I doubt anyone cares.

Very depressing being in the same terminal as a spirit hub.

Even more so as the only way to fly to where I need to go next is on spirit through FLL. Until I saw it on the board today I forgot Spirit even flew there.

Cruise ships dump the airport FULL very early in EVERY morning and the airport limits checkin til a certain number of hours before their flight.

Most people do NOT realize FLL is a small airport ... expect to sit on the floor both before security and after. Food is very limited .. mostly prepacked sandwiches sold via 'temp' stalls.

Additionally, very few late flights out ... as 8PM is late.

We were suppose to leave at 5:30pm but 2 hours of delays.

To change the flights out of MCO where we were was going to cost more then booking new 1 way tickets so we made the drive.
