We live in Florida, and our primary need is for Northern destinations to escape in the months from July through September or early October. It seems that the RCI availability of quality resorts in desirable city or small town settings up North is very limited. I guess W. 57th is a glaring exception, but summer in the city is not my cup of tea.
I have RCI searches in place for Breckenridge Valdoro and Samoset, wondering if we will get a match, and looking for other ideas. We don't want to be far away from a nice resort town. Do you have any recommendations, please, for nice resorts to expand our search? Do you think we will get a match?
If we don't match something in the next 2 months, we need to choose between converting to RCI points for 2 more years or booking a hotel with the club points so as to cancel later to convert back to HH points at the 20 to 1 rate. I think these may be a better value than using them for airfare or cruises, unless I see a special fare deal there. Would you agree with this line of thinking?
