I have an OF 2 br corner unit at the WKORV for Christmas week (week 51). When I called to split the unit today, I was told that only one unit would be guaranteed the OF view category I own (I assume the one bedroom) but that the other unit would be subject to the 8 month rule, meaning I would not get my studio OF (actually the unit behind the 1 br OF) but whatever was available at checkin. (This also puzzles me since we are not within 8 months as of today).

Does this sound right? The person the reservation call did not inspire confidence that she knew what she was talking about.

Thanks.

I have a 2br lockoff fixed week 7 at Westin Princeville. I was able to keep the 1br on week 7 and then book the studio one week later as a floating reservation.

I'd call back and speak to someone else. By your contract, you have the right to annually use the week that you bought in the size unit you bought in the view that you bought (subject to availability).

Since this is an event week, it cannot be out of availability. I'd call back and speak to someone else. If you get no satisfaction, escalate. You paid for OF and you should get OF.

Called in, spoke to a different rep, and all is well. Getting the view category I bought.
