Westin Key West Resort and Marina timeshare????

Has anyone ever heard of a Westin timeshare in Key West, FL? I ran across this on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Timeshare-a...689?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item25a32646f1

Starwood has all the information on the resort http://www.starwoodhotels.com/westin/property/rooms/index.html?propertyID=1780 - but it's not in SVN. I'm thinking the seller has the Key West Resort and Marina in Key West mixed up with the Key West section of Sheraton Vistana Villages. But I can dream!!! I'd LOVE to see this in SVN.

We had a reservation (needed to be reserved way in advance for sunset during high season) at Latitudes, the onsite restaurant. I'm told you take a boat shuttle to the little island. Weather was not optimal for enjoying the outdoors of this restaurant, so we cancelled.

I saw the eBay listing last night, and I was like "wow"! Maintenance fees seemed reasonable for a Westin, maybe too much so.

However, I've always avoided bkassests because they basically guarantee nothing about other fees and costs popping up outside of their listings.

You can dream and I can dream, too. But I don't know anything about this Westin being a timeshare resort.

This ebay listing is wrong. I searched the deed for this on the Orange County Florida website based on the info in the listing. The deed is for the Key West section of Vistana Villages in Orlando.

Also, I have stayed at the Westin in Key West twice and it is not a timeshare.

Yes, the seller got confused. It is a Week 36 (I like how they described Gold+ as high season) 2BR EOY Odd at SVV Key West.

I confirmed it on the Orange County website. They did pay full boat on it -- over $10K note was satisfied.

I need to buy another timeshare like I need an infestation of bedbugs! (Maybe that's a *bit* overstated, but not by much.) One of my sisters is wanting to buy a timeshare, and I started browsing through eBay ads after I looked up the one she was thinking about. With all the discussion about new locations and Starwood trust timeshares, I was intrigued by a Westin timeshare in Key West, but was on my way out of town and didn't have time to look into it further. Leave it to TUG members to drill down to the facts! I've bought from BKAssets in the past (one of my OF WKORVN units) and they were good to deal with. I was surprised the listing could be SO very, very wrong.
