If i can do it again, i would never purchase from developer. It was the most foolish thing I've done, wasted a lot money...

You're definitely not the first (or last) Tugger to buy from a developer. It sounds like you've found a way to make your ownership work really well for you. You're light years ahead of some people I know who bought oceanfront at WKORV, and have NEVER used their units. The wife told me, "It's too hard to get the dates we want, so we never use it."(!!!!!!!)

Not sure if this is a smoking deal or not. Your post is not clear if 2015 is first use or 2016 is first use.

(1) If 2015 first use, this is a great deal. MFs for a 1BR Plat are just under $600 for the unit in 2015. Add the $139 club fee and you are just over $700 for the unit. If first use is in 2016, then you are receiving no benefit from the paid 2015 mfs -- you are likely paying around/slightly above market for what the unit is worth. Also, don't forget you will need someone to do the deed transfer which will tack on another $150 or so in fees (unless you want to do the recording yourself).

(3) As others have pointed out, the $99 bank fee makes the ratio even worse. I'd suggest if you go the 1BR route, that you purchase with the intent to acquire another 1BR annuals so that you get a better ratio on the SO ownership, and you have enough SOs to snag at least a week in a 1BR in Plat+ season and most places (excluding St. John). Of course, this all depends on your travel strategy, but for Hawaii + having the flexibility to go to other places, this is the way I would go.

Good luck.

1) 2015 is available for me to use.
2) We travel heavily to Hawaii

Thanks for the input Ryan.

I own at KOR so I am not used to trading in, but I would consider:

b) are you content to go off-season to KOR if that is all you can get? swapping in at high season (Pres. Day, spring break, July 4, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Memorial Day, any time from Feb - May, etc) could be hard given that owners can book 12 months out and you will only have access 8 months out.

Most of our travel is done the last week of July, 1st or 2nd week of August.

You can make a Staroption reservation for that timeframe, as long as you do it the second that the 8 mo. reservation window opens.
