I got sold a cheap weekend at the HGVC on the Strip. Thanks to this site I went into the sales pitch knowing the 28k they wanted was way too high. I have done a fair amount of research into the HGVC and the competitors and am looking for a HGVC property that comes with 5k in points (my lifestyle will benefit from open season buys a lot).

I'm looking at this property on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/HILTON-GRAN...81369855359?pt=Timeshares&hash=item4182f3457f

It states the maintenance fees are very low at $590. Even the Vegas properties, which have low fees are running about $800 for similar rooms. Is this deal too good to be true? I see the closing costs are fairly high.

That is not a good ad, the fees are wrong, its closer to $900 for a 2 bedroom.

I use Seth Nocks web site, if you click the more info link it will show maintenance fees and its pretty accurate compared to the eBay sellers.

Those closing costs and transfer fees are about the average from what I have noticed. But I have a feeling you will have to pay them twice since it seems like there are 2 deeds. 1 odd and 1 even year. Also those maintenance fees aren't in the ball park for Intl Drive for a 2 bedroom. More like $900 according to the 2nd post in this thread:

Good luck.
