We are heading up to Harbor Ridge in Maine Labor Day week.

One bit of info that I cannot seem to find is whether the barbecue grills are gas (regular or natural) or charcoal.

There are some hints on the Harbor Ridge site that they are charcoal.

Anyone been there recently who can give me a definite answer?

Thanks.

They were always charcoal, but I haven't been there in over a year.

We are in Bar Harbor right now but not in a timeshare. We are visiting our daughter's family in Cape Elizabeth and headed up the coast for a few nights. Camden was absolutely beautiful as is Bar Harbor. We spent the afternoon in the park today. The low 70's really are nice since we are accustomed to weather at HHI. We fly back to Savannah next Monday with beautiful memories and a grandparent fix that will have to last until the end of November.

We will be there as well

We will also be at Harbor Ridge Labor Day week. It will be our first time in that area, so any must see and do suggestions would be appreciated.

This thread from June 4th offered many excellent suggestions from me and other Tuggers:

Something I didn't see mentioned in that thread is what you can do in Acadia National Park. Here's a link to what is available in ANP: http://www.acadia.national-park.com/

Make sure you check out the panoramas that I posted in my first reply in the 6/4 thread.

Management just came up with another question.

Does the kitchen equipment include a pot of sufficient size to cook or steam some lobsters?

my wife and i live outside Camden and go to the Bar harbor area at least 6 times a year to hike, bike and just enjoy ourselves to get away from work ect. If you love to hike there is a few nice ones near the resort in southwest harbor one stats at echo lake go to the parking area and it goes up from there also anothe nice hike in the area goes to an old fire tower that was used years ago by the fire companies to search for fires in the mts. We love all of the area, if you want really nice places to eat Havanas is excellent in bar harbor and our favorite is Gaylns right on lower main st. also the lobster pound just before you go ont o mr desert island is fantastic
