Any suggestions for things to do at/around this resort? My DH had rotator cuff surgery in May and our trip is at the end of August. (Last week he was able to feed himself with that arm and this week was able to lift a 16 oz glass of beer for the first time since surgery!!) He certainly will not be at full ability by then. Making progress, but probably won't be able to go white water rafting by the end of August. Can anyone suggest some things to do? We are active, down time is really getting to him. He usually rides his bike several hundred miles a week and now can't do that at all.

We are only staying for 4 nights, so not too long. If nothing else I figure I can drive him around to different Micro-breweries, check out the topography. He can work on those 16 oz curls.

Thanx

You might just miss it but Beaver Creek has a fun Oktoberfest during Labor Day weekend. You can take the ski chair lift at Beaver Creek up the mountain and have lunch at the Lodge near the top. Many hike or bike back down but you can also take the lift back down. Both Vail and Beaver Creek offer concerts during the summer. I would suggest checking the web sites for both cities to find out what activities are going on when you're there.

Walk to Bob's Place for a beer. Ride the bus or drive to Vail Village for happy hour, shopping and dining. Drive to Breckenridge for someplace to walk, eat & shop. Drive to Blackhawk & Central City for the casinos. Drive through Rocky Mountain National Park. Drive to Georgetown and ride the Georgetown Loop Railroad. Drive over to Edwards for dinner and a movie.

Thanks for the suggestions. I asked DH to do some research, but he said he didn't come up with anything and since we've never been there I wasn't sure what to anticipate. (Besides scenary)
