A question for those of you who have purchased SVO resale with existing reservations from a previous owner...

Did everything transfer over correctly? If you had a week that came with your resale purchase, when the purchase was completed, did the reservation stay intact? Did the reservation number change? Did it get cancelled? Or if there wasn't a reservation made, but occupancy for that year, did that transfer over without a problem? Just wondering how that all worked out, thanks!

Reservation stayed. It was attached to the unit not the owner.

Both of mine had a pre-existing reservation - I had the purcahse contact state that the reservation was to be transferred into my name - they were - I made sure I received a email confirmation that the ressie was in my name - same confirmation #. No problems.

Thanks for the replies! Do the other systems--Marriott, Hyatt and HGVC (with the exception of DVC, where reservations are cancelled)--work the same way?

When I bought my Marriott resale, the preexisting reservation transferred with the unit. Don't know about Hyatt, since we purchased from the developer.
