i can see 2012 hgvc week in rci i would like to book i have used all my 2011
points can i borrow some of my 2012 hgvc points to book the rci week

AFAIK, there's no reason why you should not be able to use your 2012 points.
In HGVC's online RCI portal there's a chart of available points (typically the next 2 years).
But if you need to borrow for more, you should call HGVC.

hgvc points

i called hgvc today and they told me i could not deposit my 2012 points
until jan 2011
i can see a 2012 hgvc week in the hgvc/rci portal i would like to book
is there a way too do this

ask them to book it for you (not deposit).

I was able to use my 2011 and 2012 points for 2011 RCI week. I called and had the RCI desk book the reservation for me (not deposit).

I'm assuming it should work the same way with your 2012 RCI week which would allow you to use your 2012 points. Let us know.

i have just called the rci desk at hgvc and they told me all the scottish hgvc
units for 2012 are on hold. they also said i could not use my 2012 points
until 2011.

Interesting... I started another thread to discuss which use years can be used for RCI Weekly and RCI Nightly reservations.

fyi...The 2011 RCI reservation I mentioned above was a RCI Nightly reservation. It looks like the rules may be different.
