Is this just weeks that RCI rents out dirt cheap or do you have to bank points/weeks with them, etc? How does it work.

Last Call Is Where They Offer The Timeshare Dogs & Cats -- Points-Weeks Mox Nix.

RCI's Weeks & Points members alike both have access to Last Call timeshare reservations.

The Chief Of Staff & I just came back home after an outstanding Last Call week at Wyndham Cypress Palms down in Kissimmee FL. With tax, RCI charged $247.47 for 7 days & 7 nights in a 1BR 4/4 unit -- very nice, but the opposite of fancy, completely adequate & spacious though lacking in the wow factor that's on display at some of the newer timeshare resorts.

RCI lists its Last Call offerings under a specific Last Call menu on the RCI web site. For those who prefer to reserve by phone rather than via Internet, I suppose the people who answer the phones at RCI's command central can take care of Last Call reservations, same as regular RCI exchanges, extra vacations, etc. We've gone on several timeshare vacations via RCI Last Call. We made all our Last Call reservations via Internet.

You have to have an RCI weeks or Points account to view what is available but if you find something you would like to reserve, you pay only the specified price (plus about 10% tax wihich is added on during the payment process). You do not have to give up your week or use any of your available Points to book it. It is bascially a straight rental.

You are also able to rent a Last Call week and pay an extra $59. for a "guest certificate" in the name of a relative, co-worker, or friend etc... which will allow them to use the unit for the week. You are not, however, allowed to rent the week for a profit.

Sometimes close to the check-in date, very desirable weeks will become available, usually because of a last minute cancellation by the person who had previously reserved the unit, or due to a last minute deposit of the week by the owner of the unit. But it is more common for the Last Call inventory to consist of off-season weeks, or prime time weeks at a very mediocre resort.

How could I become a member of RCI to take advantage of the "LAST CALL" deals?

RCI charges an annual fee for membership.

I think that's all it takes.

Doesn't hurt if you own a timeshare that is affiliated with 1 of the 2 flavors of RCI -- i.e., RCI Points or RCI Weeks.
