Recently, we booked at Star Island FL. Wyndham only has several buildings within this resort. We had a great stay and the resort was superb. No real complaints. However, we missed the little things that a Wyndham Resort offers such as the complimentary coffee and free computer usage in the lounge. The pools were not very warm at Star Island. The staff was great but did not seem as friendly and outgoing as Wyndham's staff. We drove over and visited Cypress Palms, a Wyndham resort. The pools were warm and the staff was very helpful. They showed us around and answered all our questions. Star Island was geared to more activities and very "busy" (fast paced). Cypress Palms looked more relaxed. We would stay at Star Island again but will try Cypress Palms first. Have a great day.

I have stayed at both, yes you are right, but while the Star Island pool is chilly, the Cypress Palms pool is not warm enough either.

Personally, I like Star Island over Cypress Palm due to the fact they have the golf driving range, also the pool are is nicer, and for kids they have the bounce house. Let us not forget they have wonderful tennis courts if you like tennis this is the place.

I would personally, reccomend Bonnet Creek over both resorts for the Orlando area BC is difficult to beat.
