A friend recently flew Spirit and advised me the seats no longer recline! Amen to that. I don't know if that's the same for all their flights but if so I hope other carriers follow suit!

I'm not a fan of reclining seats in this age of no leg room...
But you could not get me on one of their planes, if you paid me.
Did your friend have to pay for padding on the seats? :p

Ditto for Allegiant, aka Agony Airlines.

The "Low Cost Carriers" are ok for some but I'm too old to suffer needlessly. :p

Cheers

For short hops I have no issue with non-reclining seats (flight less of 2 hours or less in my book). For longer flights I'll find someone who allows for a little more comfort.

We no longer fly Allegiant due to their policies, prefering to pay a little more to fly a mainline carrier, even if it involves a change of plane where Allegiant has non-stop service.

I flew on Alligent recently, from Sanford Fl to Branson Mo, while I have no complaints about the plane, I was upset about the lack of reasonable parking, only available at the airport. To park cost almost as much as the flight itself!

Hope others follow as well. There is nowhere to recline to these days. I will not recline my seat unless the person in front of me does - then I have no choice if I want any space. And I always seem to get someone reclining in front of me :(

I am surprised that Spirit doesn't charge extra to get a physical seat itself, and then charge more if you want it to recline. And maybe even more for the required seat belt.

I just flew Spirit this week on a 2 1/2 hour trip each way. Non-reclining seats were ok, but definitely take a pillow of some sort to rest your neck. Late night trips are the best because the planes tend to be empty.
