Thanks for the info. Here in Maryland we can't talk without a headset after October 1. We also cannot text, but I have no idea how anyone does that anyway while driving, but that law also goes into effect.

I agree that the Aliph Jawbones are great. I had the original Jawbone, then I accidentally snapped the ear part off. I bought the Jawbone Prime a few months ago on Amazon for about $59. The Jawbones truly do remove the background noise. Just understand that it is the background noise around you, not around the other person you are talking to. I have talked to several people that have misunderstood. So, I can talk on the phone with my windows down on the highway and my wife can still hear me fine. Or with the radio on. It's pretty slick technology they use. They have some YouTube videos that demonstrate it.

BTW, regarding texting while driving, I see it every day. I would say that about 20% of people I drive near do that on the way to/from work. Any handheld phone activity has been a violation for a few years now in NY. I know a bunch of people who have received the $250 fine.

If you hate something on your ear the BlueAnt S-3 is the earlier version of the S-4 ( mentioned in article) is great. Got it to go with my new Droid X and it is super clear. The best part it has been on sale for $35.00 including shipping on a few web shopping sites lately.

+1 on the Aliph Jawbone. Talking on Jawbone while driving a large commercial vehicle at highway speed, I have been accused of being on a landline. It sounds clear on my end as well.

Just got the BlueAnt Q2 which was just released in the US. It has many more computer functions than the Jawbone. The noise supression is excellent and can eliminate wind up to 22 mph. Voice recognition, voice command function and announcing incoming caller name is superb. Clarity is even better than Jawbone.
