From memory (not in front of me at the moment), the confirmation letter/info stated that you get access to the larger group of facilities not just the pool within your building group (or that is how I took it from reading it initially), but you definately did not get a lift ticket. There were listed discounts for things like lift tickets, and other extra fee items, like the zip line. Not sure how it compares to a Smuggs pass.

So for a Summer stay, I was assuming that I wouldn't need to pay anything extra, unless it would normally be extra (like zip line). For the winter I was asssuming I would have to buy lift tickets and also buy anything that was normally extra. There I go assuming again!

I am not sure now having read the different responses.

I am especially interested in the winter - if most of the things we will use except lift tickets are included as a Wyndham owner, we might want to go to Liftopia to get the lift tickets in advance, as it will liekly be a little less expensive, even with a Wyndham owner 10% discount off list price.

Thanks for any clarification,

'Confused again' Craig
Look at the Smuggs Bash Badge. 130 up front and 30-40 a lift ticket.
Half price lessons also. Payback is quick.
Liftopia forces you otaku that day as the ticket has no flexibility.

As a wyndham points owner you will get a smuggs pass for you and everyone in the room.
Winter season this includes the fun zone, tubing and ice skating (you will pay $5 for rentals)

Here is a link to the benefits that Wyndham Owners receive with their Smuggs Pass:

Cynthia T. :)

Yes, that describes it!

Thanks I got confused from reading that I may have to buy a Smuggs pass - but it comes with one. Still need to buy lift tickets, which can get pricey, but hey, whatcha going to do?

Thank you all.

(Not as confused now) Craig

Well, I am happy to report that I received the reservation confirmations in our names today from the Wyndham owner, so I am getting the payment out into the mail for her tomorrow. I will do a double confirmation check with the resort tomorrow as well. Got my vacation rental insurance from CSA and all set for next XMAS! Seems so weird to be getting excited about something so far away, but that's how us timeshare people roll!

Thanks for all your assistance fellow TUGGERS!:cheer:

He's not the owner, he's a guest. If you arrive on a guest pass you don't get the SmuggsPass...

I will say as a Smuggs club owner since 1999, with both winter and summer benefits that I rarely use anyway because we don't have kids or ski, etc., I do find it infuriating that I cannot use my benefits if I wanted to when staying through a private Wyndham owner rental there. I also cannot use my benefits if I, lets say, rent a house nearby the resort. Yet- if I do an RCI exchange into Stowe, I can drive to Smuggs and use my benefits.

None of it makes any sense to me.:annoyed:

Yes you are correct.
I was replying to traveldaddy whom I believe owns wyndham points.
