I think they are just starting on the timeshare units. According to the link below, they have finished with renovating the hotel rooms. My wife and I will be there week of 4/4/2015 and will report back on any progress.

We love the resort and its location, so can't wait till we can enjoy it in timeshare accommodations.

They have blocked off the western wing of the resort, the side near covered parking and convention center. Conversion is in process, but no models to see yet. They are actively selling new Margaritaville points packages. First phase is made up mostly of one bedroom and studio accomodations given the existing hotel structure. Multiple phases are planned. They hope to have initial units finished by October 2015 timeframe.
