What methods do you use to get through an assignment/obligation/chore when you feel less than perfect?

Obviously, one should not fake it at brain surgery, electrical work or any other complex task. I am asking about the more common things we need to do each day like meeting new people or dealing with sensitive issues and sensitive people.

What skills have you developed that help you believe in yourself?

I like to ask for help when I need it. Especially from people who have been there and done that. I guess that's what made Ann Landers and Dear Abby so popular. Plus, I always try to remember to do the best I can - when I commit then I follow thru. I also remember that you can't please all the people all the time so I try to be true to myself; that no one is perfect but the road to that path is (1) not paved and (2) practice makes perfect. Good luck!
