New MVCI resort in Dubai

I can't say Dubai has ever interested me, I would prefer to see more European resorts. Dubai doesn't have anything to offer other than shopping and desert heat. It'll be interesting to see how it pans out.

and that is enough for me

In between shopping, I've experienced the following: indoor ski park, golf, museums, fine dining, beaches, and a water park. I love visiting Dubai :whoopie:

Doh! That explains why there's no mention of MVCI spinning off later this year from Marriott.

Dubai is in such horrible financial condition I'll venture to say not one shovel of sand has been lifted on this project. I have read there are so many condos purchased there with no construction done it is "Ripoff Inc." for the people that paid the preconstruction prices.

So this article is over three years old. Would have to bet that this resort won't be built.

It is a shame too. I love Dubai. It feels like Vegas without the gambling. The museums and spice souk are great, as is dune bashing, golfing, and Wild Wadi water park is excellent.

And may I add that the picture of Bill Marriott is awful. He looks so disheveled and appears to have slept in his suit on the way over there.
