I attempted to reserve our last 4 weeks today at the PB Mazatlan. I was shocked to be told they were full. They are never full.

I went on their website and could easily reserve my selected weeks.

Yes I realize that is what they call 'hotel' rooms but they are still jr suites.

I'd appreciate any advice on how I can make this happen.

Thanks all
Diane

If the Cabo resorts aren't fully reopened, then there will be more demand for the other resorts.

Cabo resorts have been fully operational for quite some time. I guess they are just trying to make more money since all or most TS weeks run out in 2017.
Have you tried Emerald Bay, that place is huge

yes I thought that was an odd answer. Sorry.
So if the PB Maz has nothing available and I can't use my weeks, can I deposit with RCI and use them after the contract runs out? I'm thinking no. So PB possibly just playing games and filling up their resort with hotel bookings and letting the ts owners suffer?

You should be able to deposit to RCI to use later.

Not sure what you mean by contract running out, tho? I own PBSB, know nothing about non-Cabo PB resorts. If RTU on Maz expiring, would think RCI will take whatever week they deposit and you have a deposit against future use elsewhere. If there is no week to deposit because full thru end of RTU, I am not sure how that would be handled.

I'd make a few extra calls and see how many different answers you get.

As long as those weeks are accepted by RCI, you should be able to use those deposits for years to come. You initially get two years with your deposit, and after that you can combine deposits and get additional years of use.

We stayed at PB Maz and PB Emerald Bay this past January. Liked them both, but EB is an outstanding resort, and as mentioned, quite large. Owners at PB Maz mentioned that that TS is ending next year.

Even if the TS is gone, RCI makes their money on memberships and trades, etc. They have a large inventory to choose from, we have never had a problem finding Mexican trades for very reasonable TP numbers.
