Ocean Sands, Va Beach ?s

We're staying at Ocean Sands in Va beach in a few weeks. We were there two years ago when the exterior renovation was going on. We didn't know that until we got there. We were wakened daily by the jack hammers taking the brick facade off the front of the building. I've read on trip advisor that the exterior renovation is done as well as the interior renovation of the first 3 floors.

I'm thinking of calling, mentioning our previous visit and requesting a renovated room. Any advice about how and when to do this? This is an RCI exchange in case that makes a difference.

Thanks!
