Heatwave in Hilton Head

We arrived yesterday....to very steamy weather (mid to high 90's), with the heat index in the 100's. Still our favorite place to vacation....no matter what the weather may bring! Staying at SeaCrest this year, (our home resort). Right now, it's just myself, daughter (age 13),and her friend....DH and sons will be arriving tomorrow, (hopefully...depending on how youngest son does in his baseball tourney. I was hoping they'd be eliminated early, so they could join us sooner...but so far, they have won their "pool" and are playing in the semi-final round(s) today).

If any other TUGgers are down here this week, LMK....maybe we could meet up?

Hi Deb: We are also from Pennslvania and I love HHI like no other place. I sure wish we could meet up with you but our vacation this year is to Aruba in August. Have a wonderful vacation and enjoy the heat.....after this lousy winter and wet spring....it has to feel good laying on the beach in the hot weather. Enjoy!!!

I was on HHI during Memorial Day week...right after the last cool spell in SC. The heat is on...but no better place to be than in the ocean or poolside on beautiful Hilton Head Island!

You betcha! Spent the day by the ocean front pool, (and took a dip in the ocean, as well).

I usually love it when it is hot and humid in Hilton Head. It is perfect for swimming. Unfortunately, I am recovering from major surgery and my doctor told me I can't swim in the ocean or pool. I can't ride a bike, play tennis, or exercise while I'm here either.

Thanks for appreciating our heat. I just went for my 5 mile walk in Sun City and am rather warm. We start at 6:30 to beat the heat. I'm looking forward to seeing Anne Marie and Pete at lunch today. We always go to the island and look for shade. That's one of the nice things about Sea Crest. There is shade around the pool. Have fun and enjoy the low country food.
