1800Hotels.com

Has anyone used this company to purchase hotel rooms? They have the cheapest prices around when you consider the prices include a breakfast.

Are they a reputable company? What they say you get is what you get?

How can they beat out the other travel web sites?

Thanks for your insight.

I have not heard of them, but I get weary when a company "tries" to sound like another company. At first glance, I thought they'd be affiliated with hotels.com, but when you read the fine print at the bottom of their homepage they say they are not affiliated.

To answer your question about how some of these sites have better deals than others: They may have purchased a bulk amount of rooms from the hotel; they may also have partnered with the particular hotel and have gotten a favorable rate. One thing to keep in mind when you book with a discounter is that the cancellation policy may not be favorable. Some discount sites may charge $25 to cancel a room (of course HW and PL rooms which were bid on are almost always completely non-refundable). Usually when you book directly with the hotel you can cancel up to the day of arrival.

Hi! A couple of friends of mine have told me about their great experience with 1800HOTELS and suggested I look into it them next time I book for my travels. They also told me to check out the facebook fanpage, www.facebook.com/1800hotels to see what other people are saying about them.
Hope this helps!

If they are the same as 1-800-hotels, not online but by telephone, I used them for amny years, and was very happy. Now I use 1800hotels.com to see what hotels/motels are in the area I want. I have gotten the best price through the motel website, using AAA, AARP and government rate.
