Breck weather in Sept

Just like the weather being somewhat unpredictable, the Aspen leaves turning that time of year is also unpredictable. You might catch them at the height of their Gold season. Or they might be just beginning to turn.

Weather or not, leaves or not, Breckenridge should be very nice that time of year. Enjoy.

The earlier in September, the more summer-like the weather. I think you can expect fairly warm days in early September, with cool nights. It is a beautiful time to be in the Colorado mountains, with the aspen changing colors later in the month. Snow is definitely not out of the question in September.

Fall, not summer

I doubt that you will experience daily rainstorms. That is a summer phenomenon. not usually seen in late September. I call it "sweater weather." A light jacket will be comfortable some days. A short sleeve shirt may be in order occasionally. Pack a sweatshirt that can be layered, and you will be set. Snow doesn't last long this time of year. Get pictures of the snow while you can! Often that will be only an hour or so.

Absolutely the best time of year to be there if you don't ski.
