I've looked on II's site and can't find out how to check the grid everyone always talks about. Do I need an AC number or such when I do find it?

It will eventually pop up

Click "exchange" on II website...
- Click "my units"
- Click Accomodation Certificate - exchange
- Click the map and plug in your dates and then hit search.

Assuming you're looking for a unit outside Florida (;) ), and depending on the time of year you're searching for, your search will fail to provide any results. Then the infamous grid wll appear toward the bottom of your screen.

Searching for available AC's is all about the hunt. You've got to search often and eventually you'll stumble upon a true find.

Under "My Units" there isn't any Accommodation Certificate to click on. I know we have one as when we made our deposit I told him about the mailing we received, and he said yes we would get one. I guess I have to call them again.

Could someone tell me what I paid the $99 for when we made our deposit? I'm aware of the Exchange Fee, but that fee is higher, so I expect that will be charged now that we received our confirmation for our trade. The AC fee depends on the type of unit, so it couldn't be that.

If no AC shows under your units then you definitely need to call II. It hasn't been issued to your account yet.

The $99 fee is the exchange fee for a Marriott to Marriott. Did you place a request for a Marriott to Marriott exchange? If so, that's the exchange fee you paid. You don't pay anything on the AC until you confirm a week.

Thanks for the info on the $99. Yes, it was Marriott to Marriott. I had looked up exchange fees and they began at $149 for in country. Good to know it's $50 less to go to another Marriott.

I called II about the AC. She said the person that I was working with for my deposit didn't ask me for the code that came with my mailing telling me I would get an AC. She said the code has to be put into their computer for the AC to show up. She put it in, and now it shows up.

It is amazing the difference in knowledge between each adviser.
