St. Maarten Resorts

Looking at exchangeing into the Flamingo Beach Resort and Royal Palm Beach Resort. Which is better ? Looking at going to the Flamingo Beach Resort the first week and the second week to Royal Palm Beach Resort. The Royal Palm should be very close to the airport. Will we need to rent an automobile for the two weeks ? Then I would like to catch a plane from St. Maarten to St. Kitts.

The third week in the Caribbean Island's looking at exchanging into the Marriott's in St. Kitts.

We did the same thing a couple of years back. We liked Royal Palm much better than Flamingo. At Royal Palm you are right on the beach, you have a larget unit, and it had just been upgraded including granite kitchens, etc. Flamingo is nice,but on the small side. We were in a unit across the street and had no view of the water. We were glad that we went to Royal Palm last.

Neither beach is that great, and you may want to drive to the nicer beaches on the French side. I think the Flamingo as well as RP are man-made beaches. They get alot of boat traffic due to the bridge right at RP so I have heard that the lagoos side is dirty but I never noticed it. ALl units ar RP are ocean front and many at flamingo are parking lot view... Both resorts are very close to one another
