Williamsburg Help

Hi, We have been driving to Williamsburg from Massachusetts for 6 years now.
We have always stayed at the Powhatan plantation, now the historic powhatan, but over the coarse of a couple of years it is really gone done hill I feel. I love the grounds they are beautiful but the units themselves are dirty.
I admit I am snobbish about these things but I feel after staying at the Sheratin
Vistana Villages which are super clean thats what I am looking for.
Are there any timeshares in Williamsburg that up to that standard but also have the nice grounds too? We love the area and would love to come back this year.
Thank you for the help. Leslee

Resorts: Meadow Lake (MT) Four Seasons Aviara (CA) Four Seasons Scottsdale (AZ)
Lightbulb Manor Club

Marriott's Manor Club is a gorgeous resort with beautiful grounds. It's first class in terms of architecture, decor, landscaping, etc.

Thank You I was thinking about that one. Are the units nice. I always thought it was more of a golfers resort?

Greensprings and Governor's Green

Both are newer (less than 10 years old or so) and are very nice. Both have very nice outdoor and indoor pool facilities. Greensprings is on a golf course. I slightly prefer Greensprings. However, Gov Green's units are a bit more updated, but I would stay in either. BTW-I have also stayed at Pow and agree with your assessment. Elaine

The villas are extremely nice with rich colonial decor and high end furnishings. I grew up in Virginia, and I consider it a real treat to get to stay there. There is no need to be a golfer. I don't golf, and I love Manor Club.

Resorts: Marriott's Manor Club Sequel Platinum, Marriott Grande Vista Platinum, Foxrun week 39
Greensprings is nicer than Powhattan for sure, but nowhere near as nice as Manor Club. No elevators in the Greensprings units if that matters.

You also have access to two restaurants at Fords Colony within two hundred yards from Manor Club. The Dining Room is excellent and Harry's Tavern (connected to Golf Club) is good for a sandwhich or a beer.

Go look at the reviews and ratings on TUG and Tripadvisor to get a good idea of what is better than what in Williamsburg.

FWIW, Kings Creek is good also and better than Greensprings, IMO
