A few months ago in the last bulk bank I was able to exchange my sdo for a wkov 2 bed unit. I could have sworn it was for the 3-10 of jan so i made my flights, ect without even checking, i know dumb move :wall: , i guess i take too many vacations, anyway i dont really want to change my flights around as it will cost a ton, so is there any problem arriving a day late for checkin? do i just call them closer to my arrival? Thanks for the insight

We had to do that at one point and I called the resort directly the week before to notify them. It was not a problem. Just be sure to get the direct number for the resort instead of calling MSC.

Make sure you let the resort know or they will cancel your reservation as a no show. If you let them know when you will be arriving there is not an issue.

Is your departure date right or are you going to have to make arrangements for an extra night?

i have to add an extra day on somewhere either the back end of my maui portion or the start of my honolulu portion. i am leaning towards honolulu as it is cheaper, around 300 as opposed to the 1000 for a 2 bed a wkov, lol.

Day Late Arrival

I would get the name of the person you speak to at the resort, also request an email confirmation from the resort that they know you are arriving a day late.

Some many times people call, and do not get names or confirmations.

Then when they arrive late, there is a problem.

great advice, i will ask them to send me an email confirming my request.

You might also ask the resort if they can help you out and allow you to arrive on the 3rd. It might not be possible, but the worst that can happen is that they say no!

i cant say i have ever heard the resort alllowing a change on an ii exchange but i guess it doesnt hurt to ask

Bummer. I doubt they'll let you change. The good news is that your check-in should be earlier than 4pm! :)

If you want to wait til 90 days out, you can usually get a pretty good deal at WKORV using Wotif.com. Of course, if you're headed to Honolulu anyway, it might make more sense to just add a day there.
