Preview deals for "Owners"

I'm not sure if this has already been mentioned. . sorry haven't been around much, on FT too often.

Anyways, I call SVO to refer a friend to Maui today and was informed there are current "Owner Preview" deals as well.

I was told it's $389 for 5 day/4nt in Cancun (to "preview" the new property)

Also 5nt/6 day in Kauai for $849 and I think he said the same rate for 5 or 6 nts in Colorado.

These all include rental car ect.

I also learned the current Maui deal is up to $849 but if your referral can stay between Aug and Dec (with a few Black out dates) they are adding 2 extra nights free. . so really a week for $849 with rental car and $75 hotel voucher.

Again, sorry if it's already been posted. We looking at either going to Cancun or Kauai next Feb for our 1 yr anniversary without the kids :)

I spoke with Thomas at SVO (worked with him before when I referred my parents so they could come down for my wedding). I believe he said they're all for Stuido units and didn't mention anything about timing.

I had said we're looking for something next Feb for our 1 yr anniversary wasnt' told anything about it being unavailable. . .just that basically Starwood finally realized that many owners didn't want to exchange their week and are also still interested in seeing other properties. I think it's more that they realized owners know they could rent cheaper from other owners so they opened up the "previews" to them in hopes they'd take a tour and possibly buy (since they've spent $ once, maybe they'll do it again).

For whatever reason, I for one am happy about it because I REALLY wanted to visit the Cancun property and had been trying to figure out the best way to use C&P. . .now for $389 plus rental car i'm happy to get nts covered. . .but then i'm still undecided whether i'd rather see Cancun or Kauai. . .maybe i can find a airfare break and see if we can do both back to back :)
