Leaf Peeping in Maine

Are there areas in Maine to go "leaf peeping" during the last week in October?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Too Late

The last week in October is too late to view foliage. Most of the leaves are down. Early to mid October is the time to go.

Take a look as this interactive foliage map by Yankee Magazine http://www.yankeefoliage.com/peakmap/ to get a better idea of the season.

There are also suggested scenic drives at the same site.

That is a great map, thanks for the link.

I always think "Columbus Day" for peak, although it can be a week before or after, depending on weather/temperature conditions and where you're located.
