Parking in LIncoln NE

I know that hotels in cities charge for parking. I heard (and wonder if this if true) that the city of Lincoln controls all parking for downtown hotels. Cost is $6.00 each time you enter the parking facility. If I am just going in/out once a day that is OK, but I will probalby be in/out several times in a day. Has anyone experienced city parking price like this?

The hotel may have a special deal with the city that permits guests to come and go. Best advice is to call the hotel and ask someone at the front desk.

Parking

Several years ago I stayed in downtown Lincoln at the Holiday Inn. The Hotel gave a parking pass for the parking garage near the hotel that was kept in the vehicle until checkout.

I stayed at the embassy suites downtown in the spring, you could get a pass from the hotel for about $6 that would allow you to come and go as you please. If you did not get the pass, it was $6 each time.
