Traveling around Maratea Italy with handicapped person
I'm spending 2 weeks @ the Pianeta Maratea Resort in September, with a group of six, including my almost elderly parents. Were Italian Americans and we have never been. Very excited
We want to see as much as we can, but my mother doesn't walk very well. Planning to explore the area, eat the local food and drink the wine Also considering day trips the Paestum, Matera, Amalfi, Positano, Sorrento, Pompeii, Vesuvius, Palermo Sicily (my mothers roots), and Benevento (my fathers roots). Which of these day trips would work best for us, and should we hire a driver or rent a car? Were also open to trains or buses, if these would be good for my mother. Also, would you recommend renting a car from Naples airport or taking the train to Maratea? Thanks for the help! |
