Resorts: DVC -BWV, AKV Vacation Villages of the Berkshires
Vacation Villages of the Berkshires

I recently bought a 2 bedroom lockout red week 40 (peak for leaf peeping, I hope that helps) at Vacation Villages of the Berkshires. The reviews seemed mixed in regards to this resort but I bought mainly for trading. Does anyone know if this resorts trades well in RCI? If not, does being flexible and depositing the week early help with trading power?

This resort is close enough for us to use with ease if we are forced to. That is why I purchased here. I was nervous if I got stuck with a week I wanted to be able to use it with too much hassle.

I have been an owner with DVC for over ten years but with the cost of the points I never wanted to trade out as I felt the value was not there. RCI and trading in general are new to me.

My friend owns here. It trades well enough. It's not a tiger trader, but she has been able to get what she wanted when she deposited it early, and did ongoing searches.

Thanks for the response. I am glad to hear it trades well enough.

I have been doubting my purchase since I committed. And all I paid was transfer costs. All that I have read indicates timesharing works great IF you know what you are doing and have realistic expectations. Even though I have spent dozens of hours reading I have this doubt that I am missing something.

I can't get over that feeling I got suckered.

We traded in this May. The units are big, really comfortable and clean. We'd go back. The only draw back for us was the location of the pool. It was a bit of a walk up hill, in off season you would have to dress to go out. Some units don't have a view. Enjoy. Alton
